Maya Calendar Energies At Work In The World

Campaign slogan from “The Last Weekend”, relating to the push to get people out to vote.

It has been a long, tedious, wait but it is finally here – the trecena during which millions of people throughout the US will have an opportunity to change the trajectory of what has been going on in Washington during the last two unfathomable years. This is the trecena that holds the potential for HIGH magic, carried by “Wind/ Breath/Spirit”, the energy of Ik’.

It begins just as the organization known as The Last Weekend is gearing up to get people out to vote in a huge spirited push, prior to the midterm elections. As this time frame is often highly aligned with communication, this is great timing for this endeavor.

One of the many intriguing points of interest during this current Ik’ trecena relates to the fact that this happens to be a Calendar Round return of the Maya Calendar energies that were in place at the time of the Battle of Fredericksburg during the US Civil War, with the Maya dates of 2 Ak’b’al 16 Sak through to 5 Kimi 19 Sak exactly paralleling the energies that were in place in 1862 at the time of that intense encounter. With those same energies currently in place from Nov. 3rd to 6th, a mighty battle will be raging once again in the lead up to, and the day of, the US midterm elections on 5 Kimi. Amazingly, on the last full day of that battle on 5 Kimi in 1862 (prior to the withdrawal of federal forces on 6 Manik’, the following day), an Aurora Borealis could be seen at that latitude.

The Army of the Potomac crossing the Rappahannock on the morning of Dec. 13, 1862 (Maya date 4 Chickchan 18 Sak, exactly three Calendar Rounds before the return of this 4 Chickchan 18 Sak “Burner” energy on Nov. 5th, 2018.)

As described by a witness at that time: “The whole sky was a ruddy glow as if from an enormous conflagration, but marked by the darting rays peculiar to the Northern light.” Another wrote that “the Aurora Borealis snapped and crackled over that field of the frozen dead hard by the Rappahannock …”, with that aurora thought to be the result of a solar flare.

As noted below with regard to this 5th day of this time frame, there is MUCH that could be said about the parallels and “coincidences” associated with this day, but one of them pertains to the huge caravan of Central American migrants that is currently making its way north.

This plight of desperate people who are fleeing from poverty, violence and corruption, is being made an “election issue” by Trump, who is referring to this an an “invasion” and deploying thousands of troops to the US/Mexico border to “stop them”. Compare this to what was taking place on 5 Kimi precisely three cycles ago, when some 100,000 demonstrators, including prominent actors and politicians, and leaders of at least 50 organizations (such as Amnesty International, Oxfam, amd Stop the War Coalition), and 200 religious groups staged a “Refugees Welcome” march in London, to urge the government to take more action on the refugee crisis. The world is getting smaller and people are on the move. It seems that 5 Kimi is saying that it is time to find ways to help those in need rather than ignoring them, caging them, or treating them as criminals. These are the kinds of fundamental issues that 5 Kimi often compels people to examine deeply.

Tied in with this idea are the commemorations that will take place on the tenth day of this current trecena in association with the 100th anniversary of the World War I armistice. This is a war that began and ended on 2 Kimi days, exactly spanning six Tzolk’in cycles. At this time this important anniversary falls on a day that has to do with weaving together the threads of time, in conjunction with the “force of ten”, an energy similar in nature to Kimi itself.

Although it is specifically 5 Kimi that will be drawing much attention during this period, there are many different aspects of “Wind/Breath/Spirit” that could make their presence felt during this trecena. Often it is Wind itself, as happened in the fall of 2016 when Super Typhoon Meranti, one of the most powerful ever recorded, strengthened from a Cat. 1 to a Cat. 5 in just 36 hours at the beginning of this energy frame as it knocked out power to some 500,000 households in Taiwan, before wreaking havoc on mainland China. Four cycles before that, under exactly the same “One Wind” influence, Cat. 5 Super Typhoon Haiyan (aka Yolanda) devastated the Philippines. In 2013 a fast-moving thunderstorm system hurled over 80 “super cell” tornadoes at a town in Illinois on the tenth day of this time frame, levelling some 400 homes. At that time nearly 700,000 homes and businesses were left without power in the US, as were some 100,000 in southern Ontario and Quebec.

And while strong winds might certainly be expected during this time frame, this is a period that can also be energizing, as traditionally this was seen as a period pushed forward by the Mesoamerican deity known as Ehécatl, the wind/breath/spirit form of the highly revered Quetzalcoatl. For this reason there is often a “breath of new life” aspect to this sequence of days, which is not only oriented around communication, inspiration, and many other things of a spiritual nature, but also high magic.

In the past this trecena brought forth the first flight of the twin-engine all-metal Lougheed Model 10A Electra (the type flown by Amelia Earhart on her ill-fated final trip) in 1934. The first day of this trecena (“the initiation of wind/breath/spirit”) is also the Maya birth energy of Charles Lindbergh, the aviator who made the first nonstop solo transatlantic flight, from New York to Ireland in the “Spirit of St. Louis”, in 1927. Little could he have imagined that a mere 71 years later the first module of the International Space Station would be transported into space (also during this trecena). Three cycles ago high magic was definitely palpable when, on the second day of this period, the European Space Agency unveiled the most complete map of the Milky Way ever created, including over a billion stars, based on the first 14 months of the Gaia probe’s 5.5 year observational campaign, giving us a chance to see our place in the universe in a whole new way.

And then, of course, there is the spirit of activism that will play out strongly as the critical events scheduled for the next 13 days play through. During this time many will likely feel the heat from Chantico, the Goddess of Terrestrial Fire, who serves as the patron of this time frame. Although she can often help to provide balance through the warmth and nourishment of her hearth fire, the “winds” that will blow through this time frame will be particularly intense on many levels so hopefully she will help to provide some moderation.

Once the midterms are over it is likely that more information relating to the Russia probe will be forthcoming, during the latter part of this time frame. It has been two cycles since Special Counsel Robert Mueller began assembling an elite team of prosecutors to assist him with his investigations, and indictments are piling up. With so much on the table, there is no doubt that this will be a life-changing time frame for a great many people.

As we again welcome in this time of “high magic”, inspiration, and communication, this would be a good time to breathe life into new possibilities, an opportune time to channel your voice, your vote (if in the US), your spirit, and your energy towards the goal of lifting out of the darkness and reaching upwards towards the light. At this time these are the energies that will come into play:

1 Ik’ (Nov. 2nd) – the “initiation of wind/ breath/spirit”, coinciding at this time with All Soul’s Day, the final day of the Day of the Dead festival in Mexico (be sure to check out the stunning imagery via the link under the photo at the left), and the conclusion of the funerals for the victims of the horrific Jewish synagogue massacre in Pittsburgh.

One cycle since the launch of the Never Again movement in the US, to advocate for gun control, after the horrific Florida school shooting, and the beginning of nationwide rallies by students across the US in a call for stricter gun regulations.

This day marks precisely five cycles since Hillary Clinton announced (in the spring of 2015) her campaign to become the Democratic candidate for the 2016 U.S. presidential election. And now as One Ik’ returns, this just happens to be the day when Barbra Streisand is releasing a spectacular new album called Walls, with its “sharp and political” lyrics (such as “Don’t Lie to Me”), much of which is specifically directed at Trump and the political travesty that has been unfolding in the US. This is also the opening day/release day in the US for the movie Bohemian Rhapsody associated with the rock group Queen and former front man Freddie Mercury.

2 Ak’b’al (Nov. 3rd) – a “dynamic” type of energy associated with the temple or “house” of deep esoteric mysteries, this time in tandem with the start of The Last Weekend – a national call to action initiative to get people out to vote on Nov. 6th. Intriguingly this marks the third “New Fire” anniversary of the beginning of the Battle of Fredericksburg during the US Civil War, with the Calendar Round dates of 2 Ak’b’al 16 Sak through to 5 Kimi 19 Sak (today’s date through to the midterm election) exactly paralleling the Maya energies that were in place in 1862 at the time of that horrific encounter.

More recently this day marks one cycle since Special Counsel Robert Mueller indicted 13 Russians for election interference (for conspiracy to commit wire fraud and for aggravated identify theft) and also added bank fraud allegations against Paul Manafort. Much more on this investigation will be surfacing after these midterms.

And – in the interest of bringing some light into the darkness – this is the opening day for the 36th annual Winter Festival of Lights in Niagara, called the “Longest Festival in the World”

3 K’an (Nov. 4th) – an “activation” type of energy associated with both germination and opulence, coinciding at this time with the end of Daylight Savings time, and the opening of the Tower of London’s remarkable torch ceremony, titled “Beyond the Deepening Shadow“, which will be repeated every night until Remembrance Sunday on Nov. 11th.

This marks the second anniversary of the historic day in 2016 when the Paris Climate Change Agreement officially came into effect as an international law. The Maya birth energy of Queen Elizabeth II.

4 Chikchan (Nov. 5th) – the “defining” of Lifeforce, a Burner Day associated with “running with the fire”, in conjunction with Quetzalcoatl’s connection with Liberation and Higher Consciousness.  (See image above for the Civil War battle that was fought under this influence three Calendar Rounds ago.)

Currently this energy coincides with Guy Fawkes day in the UK, World Tsunami Awareness Day, and  the first of the Five Days of Diwali, the scintillating (and highly popular) Hindu festival of light that celebrates the victory of “light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance”. On this first day of Diwali, known as Dhanteras, the goddess Lakshmi is the focus of much attention. As a goddess of properity, good fortune, and spiritual rejuvenation, Lakshmi is one of the principal deities to preside over this “Day of Fortune”. Lord Dhanwantari, a deity associated with Ayurvedic medicine, is also honoured at this time.

Two cycles ago (in June 2017) thousands of protestors took part in March for Truth rallies in more than 150 cities across the US and around the world.

Currently two high profile trials are due to start on this day, one of which concerns a lawsuit which challenges the government’s decision to add a citizenship question to the 2020 census in the US, and the other being the lawsuit brought by New York’s Attorney General against the Trump Foundation related to a litany of alleged fraudulent dealings. (It remains to be seen whether these will go ahead at this time, on the eve of the midterm elections.)

5 Kimi (Nov. 6th) – a “precision” type of energy associated with “absolute foundations” – often a “game changer. On its last appearance (last Feb.) this energy coincided with President’s Day in the US, and this time it’s the US midterm elections. Volumes could be written about many of the “coincidences” and parallels associated with this, but here are some of the highlights:

– this could translate as the targeting of “death” and has many characteristics that parallel the 5 Etz’nab’ day of the 2016 presidential election
– this is the Maya birth energy of gun inventor Samuel Colt
– this marks exactly one month since the highly controversial Kavanaugh vote
– this is the UN’s International Day for Preventing the Exploitation of the Environment in War and Armed Conflict

And for those who want to disassociate completely from the “wickedness” of the world, one excellent way to do it would be to go to Nepal to celebrate Kukur Tihar, Nepal’s “Day of the Dog” festival (associated with Diwali), when dogs are celebrated for their unique relationships with the people of Nepal – or celebrate your own Kukur Tihar with any four legged friend who specializes in bringing joy to the world. In many countries this day will be celebrated as the second day of Diwali, known as Naraka Chaturdasi (Day of Knowledge), associated with the triumph of good over evil.

6 Manik’ (Nov. 7th) – the energy of the six directions in conjunction with the reciprocity-oriented (but sometimes “sacrificial”) energy of the deer (traditionally seen as a “carrier for the sun” on Earth), this time in conjunction with the New Moon and the third of the Five days of Diwali, known as the Day of Light, or the Festival of Lights, associated with the lifting of spiritual darkness. This is a time when festival lanterns and lights are set out everywhere to welcome in Lakshmi, the goddess of happiness, wealth, and good fortune.

7 Lamat (Nov. 8th) – “self-generating star” or beacon; a strong “heralding” type of energy, as well as a force that has been historically associated with strong winds (often hurricanes) – correlating at this time with the fourth day of Diwali, known as Annakut (the Hindu New Year). Food is piled high in temples as offerings are made to Krishna.  In London an installation called the “Shrouds of the Somme” opens on this day, consisting of 72,396 shrouded figures all made by one person, with each figure representing a British Commonwealth serviceman killed at the Battle of the Somme who has no known grave.

8 Muluk (Nov. 9th) – the “resurrection” of water; strongly aligned with rebirth and “purification”. Maya birth energy of Oprah Winfrey, Michelle Obama, and Betty White. This is the final day of Diwali, a day of gift-giving between siblings.

9 Ok (Nov. 10th) –an “outwardly-projecting” type of energy associated with love, loyalty, and guidance that can have long lasting influence; a “double-fire” type of energy often aligned with “hearth-fire” or even “heart-fire”, coinciding at this time with the UN’s World Science Day for Peace and Development.

Two cycles since former FBI director James Comey went before the US Senate intelligence committee to give testimony as to whether Trump tried to persuade him to stop the investigation into his connections with Russia. One cycle since Paul Manafort’s close associate Rick Gates pleaded guilty to conspiracy against the US at the end of a busy week during which Robert Mueller unsealed 89 felony charges against 17 different people with regard to the Russia investigations.

10 Chuwen (Nov. 11th) – “foundational play”; a creative time-weaving type of force, that will involve the ringing of bells in many countries on the “eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month” (which, at this time, also coincides with the eleventh of the twenty core days in the Maya Calendar) as commemorations worldwide will mark the 100th anniversary of the 1918 armistice at the end of World War I . Many will also be remembering the three month stretch of victories at the end of that war, which for Canadians came to be known as “Canada’s Hundred Days”, that began on an 11 Chuwen day in August of 1918 at the beginning of the Battle of Amiens. And if you are fortunate enough to be in London at this time there are a number of impressive events and exhibitions in place at this time to mark this highly important commemorative day.

Opening day for the first Paris Peace Forum, to be inaugurated by Heads of State (or their representatives) from 84 countries. On this day Saturn will be seen below a thin crescent Moon and the skull-shaped TB145 asteroid will pass by Earth at a distance of some 38 million km., quite a bit further than its Hallowee’n by-pass in 2015

11 Eb’ (Nov. 12th) – inspirational “animating vitality”, aligned with change and new possibilities, coinciding at this time with the Fifth International Conference on Family Planning (in Rwanda).

12 B’en (Nov. 13th) – a “dedicated”, double-Quetzalcoatl type of force aligned with self determination, coinciding at this time with the third anniversary of the dreadful terrorist attacks on civilians at various locations in Paris. Final day of the Paris Peace Forum.

13 Ix (Nov. 14th) – “transformational Jaguar” – a double transformation type of energy associated with the Jaguar and earth mysteries, the energy in place one cycle ago when a far-more-than-usual number of White House related scandals were reported, including the huge nepotism issue which not only ties in with serious conflicts-of-interest within the White House, but is also considered to be very “dangerous”.

Currently at this time a tribute concert for Aretha Franklin will be held at Madison Square Garden in New York. This is also World Diabetes Day, the opening day for the Sustainable Ocean Summit in Hong Kong, and the Maya birth energy of suffrage leader Crystal Eastman, co-founder of the monthly socialist magazine known as The Liberator, known for its “first rate international news coverage”, which was established in 1918.

This is also Prince Charles’ 70th birthday, at which time there will be a celebration titled The Quest for Harmony: a Unifying Principle in Spirituality, Science, Sustainability and Healthcare at Canterbury Cathedral in honour of his environmental work.
